Traveling to Oman

Greek citizens traveling to Oman are required to have:

1) A Greek passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel. Be advised that if your passport expires in less than 6 months from the date of travel, most airlines will decline boarding. 

2) Holders of Greek Passports that come to Oman for LESS than 14 days, do NOT need entry visa. You will also need to show:  a return ticket, health insurance for the trip, a valid hotel booking.

3) Valid Entry Visa (longer stay). Since February 2018, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has initiated a new online system for visitors to apply for their tourist visas. The system is designed to reduce the time spent at the arrival terminal. Payment is made online by credit card.

Every applicant should bear in mind the following:

a) Apply for Oman e-visa less than one (1) month from traveling date from outside Oman.

b) Tourist visas are valid for one (1) month. They can be renewed for another month upon expiry. Delay in exiting Oman beyond the visa validity carries a fine of ten (10) OMR (26 US) per day of delay. 

c) Entry to Oman is at the discretion of ROP upon arrival. 

d) No sponsor is required for a tourist visa.
